1. Who we are & scope

This website is operated by Meliora Group LLC (“Meliora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through this website (the “Site”) and through direct communications you initiate with us, such as email or phone.

This Site is an informational presence for our investment activities. It is not a client portal, and it does not provide a means to open an account, transact, or transmit financial account information. Nothing on this Site is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us

When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you choose to give us, which typically includes your name, email address, the role you select (for example, investor, operator, or advisor), and the contents of your message. If you contact us directly by email or phone, we receive whatever information you include in that communication.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log certain technical information for security, reliability, and abuse-prevention purposes. This may include your IP address, browser type and settings, device and operating system, referring page, and the date and time of your request.

Information from third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site, and your use of the Site may involve them:

  • Netlify - hosts the Site and processes contact-form submissions on our behalf. Form data you submit is transmitted to and stored by Netlify so that we can receive and respond to your message.
  • Google Fonts - we load typefaces from Google’s font service, which may receive your IP address as a technical part of delivering those fonts.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health data) through this Site, and we ask that you not submit such information through the contact form.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it;
  • evaluate and follow up on investment, partnership, or deal-flow opportunities you raise;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or misuse; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our rights.

We do not use the information you submit to sell you unrelated products, and we do not sell or rent your personal information (see Section 5).

4. Legal bases (for visitors in the EEA/UK)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal information on the following legal bases: your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, securing the Site, and developing our business in a way that does not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed and only with:

  • Service providers who process information on our behalf and under contract - for example, our hosting and form provider (Netlify) and our email provider.
  • Legal and safety recipients - courts, regulators, or authorities, where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • A successor entity - in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or other business transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies & analytics

This Site is intentionally lightweight and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Essential technical cookies or similar storage may be used by our hosting provider to keep the Site secure and functioning. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and how to opt out where required. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.

7. Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting relationship, and thereafter only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes. Automatically collected technical logs are retained for a limited period by our infrastructure providers. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

8. Data security

The Site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we rely on reputable providers that maintain administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information through the contact form.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights; because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, no opt-out of sale is needed.

To exercise any right, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

10. International visitors

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own.

11. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites or profiles (for example, LinkedIn). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a professional, adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
